Therapy Session Rates

At Ross Psychology, our therapy rates align with the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta’s recommended fee schedule. This page outlines what’s included in each service, billing and insurance information, payment options, and our cancellation policy — everything you need to make an informed decision about your care.

Individual Therapy:

Personalized support to help you navigate life’s challenges — whether you’re managing anxiety, working through trauma, or seeking clarity and growth. This is a space just for you, to feel heard and supported.

$220 per 50-minute session

Couples Therapy:

Collaborative sessions designed to strengthen connection, improve communication, and work through conflict. Whether you’re navigating transitions or rebuilding trust, therapy offers a safe space for healing and growth together.

Insurance & Reimbursement

Many clients receive full or partial coverage through their extended health benefits.

  • Covered by most major employee benefit plans and insurance providers
  • Can be claimed under Health Spending Accounts (HSA)
  • Psychological services may be tax-deductible when claimed under medical expenses on your income tax return

Direct billing is available for Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie Blue Cross, and Telus eclaims.
All other clients will receive a receipt for reimbursement submission.

Payment Options

Fees are collected at the end of each session.
Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash
  • E-transfer
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express

A receipt will be provided after each session.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Missed appointments or late cancellations are billed at the full session fee.
  • This policy helps maintain availability and respect for all clients’ time.

  • Q. Do you offer virtual or in-person therapy?

    A. Yes, both in-person and secure virtual sessions are available, depending on your preference and needs.

  • Q. Are your services covered by my benefits plan?

    A. Most extended health care plans include coverage for Registered Psychologists. Please check with your provider for specific coverage details.

  • Q: Do you offer sliding scale rates?

    A: At this time, I do not offer a sliding scale. However, I’m happy to provide referrals to community-based resources if cost is a concern.

  • Q: How long are sessions?

    A: Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
